Welcome to Spokane Area Retired Educators

The mission of SAREA is to strengthen bonds of friendship among retired school employees, to encourage continued interest in education, to promote the general welfare of retired educators, to work toward improved retirement legislation, and to take an active part in civic affairs.

SAREA supports non-profit organizations within our community. Grants are available to support educators within our area to better meet the needs of their students. Scholarships for future educators are granted yearly. The PAWS Scholarships are specifically for hard-working students in need. We also provide funding/volunteer support for a variety of non-profits meeting the needs of vulnerable children and their care givers.

Newsletters & Post Cards provide information relevant to our organization in the fall, winter, spring and summer. Highlighting our year is our annual Holiday Luncheon in December and our Scholarship Luncheon in May. The General meetings in October and March will be held at:
NorthEast Washington ESD 101, Talbot Event Center.
4202 S Regal St
Spokane, WA 99223

To strengthen and grow our friendships we will be offering more opportunities to join us for recreational activities.

We will continue to update the website and to send out regular mailings.
